This tutorial is written for Episerver CMS content editors. In this guide, you will learn how to see the publishing history of a block. In a lot of companies, content approval is an important part of meeting compliance regulations. In order for a content approver to be able to approve new content changes, they will often need to see the differences between the current version and the previous one. In Episerver seeing the history of a block within the editor is possible, however, it is not very intuitive. If you want to do a very simple comparison between a block and its previously saved version, first open the block within the CMS:

Open the 'Edit' view:

Seeing the view history is done within the 'Asset Panel'. Click the Settings button at the top, and select Add Gadgets

From here, open the CMS tab and select Versions':

In the bottom panel of the 'Assets' toolbar, you should now see the complete version history for the block. Clicking on each version will allow you to see the history. You can also compare different versions. Happy Coding 🤘
